A Welcome Iftar for New Muslims

We warmly invite you to The Seeker’s New Path, a Ramadan Iftar created with new Muslims at its heart. This evening is a gentle gathering space for those who have recently embraced Islam or are continuing to find their footing offering connection, care, and companionship along the journey.

Rooted in the spirit of suhba (righteous companionship), this Iftar centers on building meaningful relationships, creating room for honest questions, and fostering a sense of belonging within the wider community. Whether your shahada was recent or years ago, you are welcome here.

We also invite “community anchors” long-time community members to join us in support, helping to cultivate a table environment that feels warm, respectful, and familial.

Join us for an inspiring evening as we gather to raise funds and celebrate the work of Wasat. We are so excited to have you be apart of this evening.

This special night will bring together community members, families, and supporters for a program featuring Quran recitation, storytelling, reflection, and a shared iftar meal. Through a powerful fundraising arc, we will reflect on Wasat’s impact across Arts & Culture, Education & Spirituality, and Love & Service, and invite you to be part of what comes next.

We are honored to welcome Guest Speaker Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans, whose reflections will ground the evening in spiritual purpose and collective responsibility.

As Ramadan approaches, we invite you to pause, reflect, and prepare with intention. This Ramadan Readiness Workshop is designed to help you enter the month feeling grounded, supported, and spiritually aligned rather than rushed or overwhelmed.

Together, we’ll explore what makes Ramadan truly special and how to approach it in a way that is sustainable, compassionate, and rooted in community. This is not about perfection it’s about clarity, pacing, and presence.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) faced a myriad of tests throughout his life, and sought refuge with Allah, often making dua while outdoors. How might we learn from his legacy, and when faced with trials, seek Allah's guidance while being outdoors...even when it's raining?!

WHAT TO EXPECT

• We'll learn about Prophetic stories

• Opportunities to share our own narratives

• Delve into guided nature practices that offer doorways to Divine direction amidst life's challenges

• Level: Beginner and above; family friendly, all are welcome, and the route is also wheelchair accessible. No special equipment or experience is needed. This is a simple, short walk in the woods, with breaks to sit on logs and on the bark below our feet :)

• “Returning to Fitra in a Synthetic Age” A guided outdoor reflection led by Fitra Outdoors with Imam Mendes offering a nature-based spiritual teaching.
