The Global Seeker: A Celebration of the Ummah
An event celebrating the cultures of all members of the Wasat community. Where people’s voices/experiences/lives are celebrated. There are so many people from all over the world who are part of the Wasat community, and this is such an amazing opportunity for them to share a part of themselves with us.
The path of the Seeker is not confined by borders or restricted to one language. Honoring the rich, multi-ethnic tapestry of our local Seattle community and the global Ummah.
A Table Set by Everyone
In the spirit of the global Ummah, this will be a Community Potluck. We invite you to bring a dish that represents your heritage, your family’s favorite Ramadan tradition, or a flavor from a culture that has moved your heart.

Time: Doors open at 6:15 PM (Please arrive by 6:30 PM to set up your dish)
Location: Rainier Arts Center, 3515 S Alaska St, Seattle, WA 98118
Cost: Free with registration. $18 donation encouraged to support the space and supplies.
Potluck Guidelines
To ensure a safe and beautiful experience for everyone, please keep the following in mind:
Ingredients: Please ensure all meat is Halal and clearly label dishes that contain common allergens (nuts, dairy, gluten).
Ready to Serve: Please bring your dish in a serving container with a serving utensil if possible.
The "Seeker" Note: We encourage you to include a small note or card with your dish sharing its name and which part of the world it represents!
