Wasat and Muslim Writers Collective welcome poet Tariq Toure for an evening celebrating Black History Month and his latest book, 2 Parts Oxygen.
Tariq Toure is a storyteller who uses poetry to shed light on social injustice, anti-Blackness, and the complexities of the Black Muslim identity in America.
Local poet, organizer and interdisciplinary creative Hanan Hassan will share the stage with Tariq in a meaningful dialogue that will invite all to contribute and benefit.
