"Assalama ‘alaykum,
I pray you are all well. I took some time off, and I’m grateful to God to be able to rejoin you all in the community again. I pray that, as you begin this journey with me again, you benefit and draw closer to God through the study of His words.
Power of this Surah: (Al Baqarah).
It was after I’d been teaching Surah Al Baqarah for a number of years at Wasat that an old Sufi teacher of mine taught me, as her teachers on the path did, that those who complete the reading of this surah each day or every three days get to the Barakah (blessings) of these words. Look, she said, the veils are lifted, and inner realities, secrets, and gifts are presented to you. I pray that each one of you will come to know these realities, secrets, and gifts embedded in this Surah.
